Fashion's Up

Current inspiration

Posted in Uncategorized by maddaATU on October 1, 2011

I am really sorry for not posting anything lately but I’ve been very busy with school and stuff. So, for today I will post some inspiration and things I like . And here we go:)

The hippies

And when say hippies and hippie style I mean the real and the original one. Not the fake things you see nowadays. It really annoys me to see girls wearing a colourful dress and a peace sign and instantly call themselves hippies. That is just wrong.

Eva Green

The first time I saw Eva Green was in The Dreamers and she was just absolutely stunning. I like her more naturely and not the goth style and so on.

Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg are one of my favourite couples ever and Jane is truly a great fashion inspiration and her style is unique.

Back on business- La Mania S/S

Posted in Uncategorized by maddaATU on April 23, 2011

I am really sorry for the lack of posts but having 3 blogs to manage is not an easy job especially if one is about film reviews. I started that blog because i love movies so much and one day I want to be a filmmaker.

But now I am back on business.  I chose the La Mania S/S because it has the feeling of luxury mixed with spring and it totally expresses the mood of this season. The whole concept shows us two young and rich girls having fun and just relaxing which I think it is perfect to start some new and fresh posts on Fashion’s Up!

I hope you really enjoy my blog and I promise I will post more in the future:)

Anna Karina

Posted in Uncategorized by maddaATU on January 23, 2011

She may not be as well known as some movie icons, but Anna Karina, queen of French cinema’s New Wave, is arguably the most enchanting woman ever to hit celluloid. All bangs and black cat-eyes, she might be described as the art-house brunette to Bardot’s blonde bombshell. Coco Chanel played an unlikely role in the discovery of this Paris import by way of Denmark (read on for details), but Karina will forever be linked with Jean-Luc Godard. The perennially controversial and stubble-faced director, who received an honorary Oscar in November, laid eyes on the actress in a Palmolive commercial and cast her in his 1960 flick Le Petit Soldat. The two eventually married, although happily ever after wasn’t in the script.

Abbey Lee becomes a trend setter

Posted in Uncategorized by maddaATU on December 30, 2010

So far she is the biggest proponent of the trend, but don’t let supermodel Abbey Lee snap up all the sheer maxi dresses before 2011 kicks off. Get out there and indulge in the trend while it’s still at the micro-trend stage.

Kate Somers & Erin Axtell: L’Officiel Russia October 2010

Posted in Uncategorized by maddaATU on October 17, 2010

This is one of those on-location shoots that’s just as captivating for the backdrops as for the clothing. The rocky terrains and sea-side settings add plenty of drama to Riccardo Vimercati‘s work.
